“Jointly, Arsenal and the Rwanda Development Board have surpassed the original goals of the partnership – promoting conservation and eco-friendly travel, motivating countless fans to explore Rwanda, and establishing a durable base for tourism growth,” declared an official Arsenal statement.

The announcement added that the partnership has also supported Rwanda's goal of becoming an worldwide athletic destination in Africa and welcome more worldwide tournaments while delivering local football projects that have assisted numerous youth athletes and coaches enhance their abilities and promote increased engagement in athletics nationwide.

Management Opinion and Fan Backlash

Richard Garlick, Arsenal's chief executive officer, characterized the deal as a “significant journey” and claimed it had been “propelling” the club's ambitions.

However, this perspective was not shared by a segment of the club's followers, with the campaign group Arsenal Peace Advocates holding rallies outside the club's home ground during the first semi-final encounter in Europe's premier competition against Paris Saint-Germain in the end of April.

Demonstrators showed a placard declaring “End the Rwanda Deal” and handed out sleeves to conceal the partnership emblem on kits.

Industry Perspective and Fellow Clubs

Around that time, the French champions renewed their partnership deal with Visit Rwanda through 2028.

Simultaneously, the Madrid-based team signed a fresh deal for the identical duration that has led to the branding featured on the Madrid-based team's men's and women's shirts.
