Battlefield 6 Battle Royale Arrives Very Soon as a Complimentary Game Mode

Following months of rumors, the battle royale game type for Battlefield 6 is officially arriving. Last week's rumors indicating its debut would align with the first season were accurate. Gamers can access the mode starting tomorrow.

Launch Season Adding a New Map, Style, and Guns

Together with the battle royale mode, the first season is also starting. This introduces a fresh location, a fresh game type, and new weapons. On top of that, this new sector is being introduced. A included teaser will be released at go-live, giving players a preview of what's to come.

F2P Structure Makes Battle Royale Accessible to Any Player

Maybe the key news is that this new experience will be free-to-play. Similar to other offerings, you do not need to own the base game to play. Some players have previously tested pre-release builds of the experience. These playtests were held in Battlefield Labs, which the studio described as their biggest player partnership project.

The heart-pounding excitement while fighting enemy players is unmatched in other last-man-standing mode. It feels do or die, and you really mind if you make it or not.
Although I was a critic earlier, I'm now for the new mode now that I've experienced it.

These first reactions from testers have been overwhelmingly favorable. Naturally, the mode may have been adjusted over the past month or two in terms of tuning and tempo. Still, first impressions are positive that Redsec could be a real alternative to established titles. Players are hoping that the best guns from the base title will be available in the BR.
