Iranian Forces State Assault on US Base in Bahrain, During Regional Military Operations.
Tehran reports attacking a American military facility in Manama, as the country executed operations throughout the Middle East in response for a "massive" and continuing offensive against it by the US and Israel.
Huge plumes of black smoke were seen rising from an zone near the main base of the US Navy's Fifth Fleet in Manama, Bahrain. The extent of any destruction is unclear and the US has yet to issue a statement.
Airspace Engagements
Elsewhere across the region, the UAE, Qatar and Kuwait - all home to US military bases - stated they have engaged and destroyed incoming projectiles in their airspace.
In the Qatari capital, the Qatari Ministry of Defence stated it had successfully engaged several missiles apparently targeting the al-Udeid air base, the biggest US military installation in the region.
Operation "Truthful Promise 4"
Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said in a statement it was attacking American facilities and interests as part of military campaign "Truthful Promise 4", in retaliation for the offensive on Iran carried out by the United States and its ally Israel on Saturday.
That US-Israeli operation - launched at approximately 09:15 Iran time - has so far struck sites associated with the the regime, with US President Donald Trump encouraging the Iranian people to rise up against the leadership.

In Israel, sirens were heard nationwide after the Israel Defense Forces said it had identified an barrage of missiles from Iran.
The defence ministry of the UAE said in a statement that the country has been subjected to a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".
"UAE air defence systems responded to the missiles with notable success and destroyed a number of missiles," it added.
It said debris fell on a populated district in the capital, causing some property damage and the death of one civilian.
The United States Air Force is stationed at the Al Dhafra base, to the south of Abu Dhabi, along with the Emirati Air Force.
