Nationality Breakdown of Vanished Minors

In the two scenarios, youths of Albanian origin were the largest group to go missing, making up 50% the overall number from the hotels, 68, and over 25% from the care facilities, 65.

The second and third largest ethnic groups to have gone missing from the two settings are individuals from Afghanistan subsequently Iranians.

Regulatory Updates and Continuing Issues

In the end of 2023, following a protracted legal proceeding concerning solitary migrant children disappearing from all temporary accommodations, the practice of regularly housing children in hotels was ruled unlawful.

We persist in regularly review our methods for developments if this happens, distributing appropriate details with area authorities and local authorities looking into the issue."
