Netflix Chooses Perfect Performer for Bon Clay in One Piece Season 3

The Secret Organization is set to make a major impact in the next installment of Netflix’s show of One Piece, though the major clash won’t take place until the third season, and a cherished, fan-favorite member has just been cast.

Netflix announced recently that the skilled actor is now part of the One Piece season 3 cast and will portray Mr. 2. The role can use their power to change into an identical duplicate of any person they’ve touched with their dominant hand. The actor, who is non-binary and prefers they/them pronouns, will play a version of that character re-envisioned as non-binary, as opposed to as a drag performer, in the live-action show, unlike the source material and cartoon version.

This performer will work alongside multiple recently announced actors set to bring the organization to life, including head Mr. 0, played by Joe Manganiello, Sophia Anne Caruso as another operative, and an accomplished actor, who also joins the lineup as the monarch of the desert kingdom.

Even though the role is a important part of the organization, the character won’t make their debut One Piece season 3. With season 2 expected to adapt the Little Garden segment, this represents a major departure in the timing of the character’s debut, one that could indicate additional alterations to the plot development.

The actor’s combination of excellent comedic sense and deep sensitivity makes them a standout choice for the character. Besides their current animated role in the animated feature Boys Go to Jupiter, they garnered significant recognition and multiple awards for penning and acting in the popular theatrical show Oh Mary!, showcasing the adaptability they’ll contribute to one of One Piece’s most celebrated figures.

Netflix's live-action One Piece show is set to return for its season two on March 10, 2026.
